TO-NIGHT'S NEW ZEALAND PROGRAMMES Appearing on the programme at IYA will be the Cambrian Duo, who will give selections of novelty items, piano and vocal. The Studio Trio will play several numbers. Other vocalists appearing on the programme will be Miss Nellie Lingard (contralto) and Miss Thelma Dhffin (mezzo-soprano).. Humour will be supplied by Mr T. T, Garland. . The Miramar Silver Band, under the conductorship of Mr A. Sutherland, will contribute another entertaining programme at 2YA. The band will be assisted by Miss Moana Goodwill (soprano), Mrs Lurlio Dargaville (contralto), and Messrs Noho Toki and H. W. Dowling (tenor and baritone respectively). Mrs Dargaville is a newcomer to radio. The lighter side of the programme will consist of humorous items by Mrs JS. .0. Chapman, who, as Miss Ron a Scott, was a well-known performer from 4YA. . , , ‘The Manufacture of Wood Pulp' will be discussed in a talk from 3YA 1 at 7.30 by Mr W. G. Morrison (Conservator of Forests). Vocal trios will be a feature of the programme. Three young ladies—-Misses Sylvia Angus, Delcia Philpott, and Kathleen Bond—were very successful at the recent competitions, and the same trios then sung will be heard bn the air this evening. Tn presenting a ‘ A/. Summer Night,’ sung to ’cellp obligato by Miss Marjorie Chapman, Miss'Bond will also be repeating the number , with which she won at the competitions. Other soloists will be Mr J. A. Blythe (tenor) and Mr W. Rofe (bass). # Miss Noel Cape-Williamson, a prize winner at the Wellington Competitions, will be contributing piano solos and humorous elocutionary numbers will be provided by Mr Denys Cow. There will be an instrumental programme by the Studio Octet. " 4YA will go on the air to relay a concert which is to be given in the Town Hall: by the Dunedin Orchestral Society, under the conductorship of Mr J, Coombes.
