OTAGO RUGBY FOOTBALL UNION
JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS The Otago Rugby Football Union will hold its jubilee nest week, commencing on Tuesday, when a smoke concert will be held in the Early Settlers’ Hall. It is expected that there will be a large gathering of past and present players at this function, and some interesting speeches and reminiscences should be heard. An excellent musical programme has also been arranged. On Thursday, September 25, the ball will be held in the Pioneer Hall, and this is also expected to provide a very interesting function. On Saturday, September 27, the senior and junior seven-a-sido tournament will be held, and several athletic events, including a footballers’ championship and senior and junior relay races. Entries for these have been extended to Saturday next, at noon. On Sunday, September 28, the church service will be held in the Town Hall at B p.m. Past and present members of clubs will assemble under their club banners at the Queen’s Gardens at 2 p.m., and will inarch from there to tho Town Hall.
