WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17.(Before Mr J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.)' PROBATION GRANTED. Andrew , James Johnson Maclnnes and Leslie John Roberts appeared for sentence on a charge of stealing a rug and other appliances of a-total value of £ll, the property of Harry Pryde. His Worship said that - the offenceAvas due to a craze for motoring, and in view of all the circumstances he would grant probation in each case for two years, subject to certain conditions.
