FLIGHT TO ENGLAND
DIR CUNNINGHAM’S ATTEMPT A FORCED LANDING. Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright WELTEVREDEN, September 10. A message from Sourabaya says that the Australian aviator, Mr Cunningham, whoso flight to England was interrupted by a'forced landing, effected repairs and landed at Sourabaya from Bima. He was seen and, heard some time before landing yesterday, but he then disappeared. A search resulted in his being found at 8 o’clock in the evening in the oilfields property soutli of Sourabaya. The rescue party found him under his plane, preparing to sleep there that night. He explained that he had lost his maps and failed to locate the aerodrome.
