Conference activities to-day wera confined to a number of private comer* sations between the English, American, and Japanese delegates. It is under-! stood that the , discussions concerned the vital problem of the Japanese cruiser ratio. To-night an agreement was virtually reached giving them a little over 60 per cent, of the strength of fhe United States, compared with their former demand for 70 per cent. Confirmation of this report, however, is unobtainable. .
DAY OF INTERCESSION \ RECOMMENDED BY METHODIST CONFERENCE. RUGBY, February 28. Private conversations between the delegations to the Naval Conference took place this morning, but there were no developments of any importance. Mr Ramsay MacDonald is this week-end taking a rest from the conference work. This morning the Prime ‘Minister visited the British Industries Fair at Olympic.
