A BURN—J ONES. On Thursday evening last All Saints Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding, when Florence Helen, .second daughter of Mr and Mrs H. C. Jones, was married to Albert Edward, elder son of Mr and Mrs S. F. Aburn. "he Rev. K. I). Andrews-Baxter performed the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming frock of satin georgette, which fell in soft folds to the ground at back, with bodice enhanced by lovely old ivory lace appliqnod in a trad design and long tight-fitting sleeves. A cap of lace,'.with orange blossoms behind each ear and across the back, held the long veil of foamy tulle. A small bouquet of cream roses completed the ensemble. She was attended by two bridesmaids, her sister, Miss Edna Jones, and Miss Betty Harvey’, who were gowned in beautiful frocks of P.anne velvet in a lovely shade of Gainsborough blue. They wore flesh-coloured felt hats, with swathings of blue velvet, and carried sheaths of peach-col-oured gladioli. Messrs H. F. Abnrn and J, S. Fleming acted as best man and groomsman. After the ceremony Mrs Jones received her guests at the Strand Salon attired in a model frock of ecru lace over black georgette, and black fur felt hat, with French embroidery, which was exactly matched by the bouquet of carnations which she carried. Airs S. F. Aburn, mother of tho bridegroom, was frockecl in georgette and embossed velvet in black and nasturtiun colourings, with black felt and velvet hat. She carried roses. Miss Adeline Jones (sister of tho bride) wore a georgette frock in orange, beige, and black, and Mrs C. E. Begg (sister of the bridegroom) a French sleeveless frock of delphinium bine. Later the bride and bridegroom loft for a holiday visit to the North Island. COCKBURN—STEWART. On February 19 the North-east Valley Presbyterian Church was the scene of a pretty wedding, when Catherine Lowe, eldest daughter of Air and the late Airs T. H. Stewart, was married to Henry Wilfrid, youngest son of Miami Mrs Cockburn, North-east Valley The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a beautiful gown of crepe de chine' and silver lace. Her veil in cap fashion was draped with orange blossom, finishing with a posy at each ear. Silver brocade shoes finished a pretty toilette. She carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white roses and sweet peas. Miss Myra „tewart (sister of the bride) was attired in a lovely pale blue crepe de chine frock, with hat and shoes to tone, with a shower bouquet of pale mauve sweet peas and asters. Aliss Minnie Smith also attended the bride, attired in pale pink, with silver bands on her hair, finished at each ear with rosebuds and forget-me-nots. Tho bridegroom’s gifts to the maids were a gold bangle and gold and greenstone ring. The church was decorated by the bride’s sister and friends. Tho bridegroom was attended by Mr Hawes as best man. At' tho conclusion of the ceremony a reception was held at the Strand Salon. As tho guests, numbering about seventy, arrived they were received by Mr Stewart and Mrs B. Smith (matron of honour), and Mr and Airs Cockburn. Next day the newlymarried couple left by tho express for Auckland, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride travelled in a bine georgette frock, with black bat and musquash fur coat. Numerous telegrams and radios of congratulations, together with many presents, were received.
