AUCKLAND TOURING TEAM Mr E. C. Beale’s Auckland touring am commenced a two days’ match with the South Canterbury eleven at Timaru yesterday, in glorious weather and on a fast wicket. The visitors won the toss and elected to bat, being dis,ed for 151 (Smith 43 not out, wrio 37, Lyon 31). M'Beath took five wickets for 35 and Kane four for 59.
