HAWKE CUP MATCHES [Pes United Press Association.] CHRISTCHURCH, November 1. i At a meeting of the Management Committee of tho New Zealand Cricket Council a letter was received from the Manawatu Association asking that l Hawke Cup matches be arranged tor other than holiday dates, as it w‘ as ! impossible to keen, a representative team together over the holidays, it was decided to inform the Manawatu Association that it would be impossible to avoid holiday dates for the Hawke Cup matches, and to point out that the major associations had to play on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. An application from the Rotorua Association for affiliation as a minor association was referred to the conference of delegates.
