FEDERATION ADDRESS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —1 was surprised on reading a report of the address delivered by tho president at tho annual meeting of tho New Zealand Employers’ Federation, to see Mr Weston use the federation for political purposes. 1 am a member of tho Otago Employers’ Association (which by the way had delegates nl tho annual meeting). 1 have always been led to believe that the employers’ federation did not interfere in politics. 1 strongly object to Mr Weston attempting to make the federation a Reform Party mouthpiece. The Employers’ federation has done a lot of good work for the employers in the past, and I hope to sec it continue to do so, but if it starts to interfere in politics it will not last long, for a house divided most fall. Your leader in last night’s ‘Star’ headed 1 A Mistimed Alarm,’ states the position, and should he appreciated by all employers.—l am, etc., A Membek, Otago Employers’ Association. October 25.
