Mr Bruco to-day tendered the resignation of the Ministry to the Gov-ernor-General, who late’ commissioned Mr Scullin to form a Ministry, the balloting for which has been going on all day and will be continued to-mor-row. ' 14 Independent Nationalist 4 Country Party 10 Country Progressive ... 1 Labour will therefore have a majority of seventeen over the non-labour representatives. Mr Scullin. replying to a great gathering of well-wishers at Melbourne who besieged Isis train on route for Canberra, said lus Government would do nothing to injure the nation. He appealed to the citizens as a whole for co-oporation in putting Australia on its feet. MR BRUCE. MAY RE-ENTER POLITICS. SYDNEY, October 21. (Received October 22, at 9.30 a.m.) There is a distinct possibility of Mr Bruce re-entering politics when he returns with Mrs Bruce irom a holiday abroad. It is not unlikely that a certain membei will resign in order to make room for the former Prime Minister in the Federal Parliament.
