DONOVAN KNOCKS OUT HECTOR LECKIE
[Per United Press Association.] NEW PLYMOUTH, October.2o. Tommy Donovan < (Waitara) scored another knock-out victory at Stratford, this time over Hector Leckie, who proved the toughest > opponent for Donovan so far. Leckie had a margin of points ; n the first round and the sixth was even; but in all the others Doiiovan was substantially ahead. The end came in the .eighth, when-Leckie was knocked down for the count. He .rose too late, but was done in any case. Donovan weighed 8.11 and Leckie 90. It was a sterling fight, and was - .witnessed, by. a large house. ,
