At the meeting of North-east Valley School Committee Mr G. Manson presided, and there, were present Mrs Elliot, Messrs Begg, Thomson, Lamg, M'Gregor, and Paul. An apology for absence was received from Mr W. B. Fowler, ft was decided to grant the Baptist Church Lawn Tennis Club permission to use the school grounds for one court during the season. The Visiting Committee drew attention to a leak at the ventilaor in Standard V. room. Miss Walden’s resignation was received with very deep regret. The head master reported that the balance at,the school savings bunk stood at £134. In the school garden the boys were preparing to plant a new hedge, and the plants for it had been grown in the garden. A number of shrubs had recently been sent to various schools,' and about 1,500 new cuttings had been planted. Standard IV. last week had held a small sale, which real isod £7. The roll number at present was 018. Accounts amounting to £33 were passed for payment. Messrs Mansou and Fowler were appointed a visiting committee for the ensuing month.
