WEDDING
On Wednesday, August 7, at 2 p.m., a large number of friends assembled in First Church to witness tho marriage of Harry Steven Harhott, second sou of Mr and Airs A. S. Harhott, Leith street, Dunedin, to Hazel Vera Edwards, second daughter of Air E. A. Edwards, of Oxford street, South Dunedin. Tho church was tastefully decorated with autumn leaves and narcissi against a background of native greens and ferns. Dr Galway presided at the organ and rendered suitable music. Owing to the unavoidable absence (due to severe illness) of the bride’s father, Mr N. Alurie acted in his place. The Rev. Kilpatrick was the officiating clergyman. The bride, who entered the church to the strains of tho wedding march on the arm of Air Alnrie, looked charming in a frock fashioned with a tight-fitting bodice of chenille velvet with flared skirt of frilled tulle. Her beautiful white veil was hold in place by a coronet of orange blossoms. Silver shoes and a pretty bouquet of freezias and chrysanthemums completed her toilet. Tho bride was attended by her sister Maud as bridesmaid, who wore a dainty frock of pale green georgette with flora! hat to match, and carried a bouquet of jonquils and narcissi. Air A. 0. Harhott (brother of the groom) successfully carried out the duties of best man. After tho ceremony the guests adjourned to the residence of the bridegroom’s parents in Leith street, where Mrs Harhott, son., wearing a gown of brown crepe de chine witli fawn felt hat, and carrying a bouquet of autumn flowers, received the guests as they entered. All tho usual toasts were honoured, and a most enjoyable time was spent. Tho bridal party departed later for the north, tho bride’s travelling frock being of navy and beige, with green felt hat and a navy coat. In the evening a, large number of young people assembled, and a merry evening was spent in games and dancing.
