GAELIC SOCIETY
The Gaelic Society held its monthly (•fathering in the Oddfellows’ Hall, Stuart street, last evening, when there was a large attendance. Chief W. H. M'Leod presided, supported by Chieftains J. S. MTeak, Hugh M'Kinnon, and Thomas Ritchie. It being the chief’s first meeting since the begining of the year, lie thanked the members for his re-election to the position of chief for another year. The entertainment was, of course, of a national character, and won the hearty approval of all present. Items were given by Mrs A. MTvor, Mrs Oliver Rothesay, Messrs C. C. Scott and A. M'Lennan (songs), Miss Anita Bowler. and Mr A, Kennedy (recitations). Misses Norah Steel, Jean Brown, Edna Pettit,’ Blvera Connor, Nancy Stewart, and Peggy Steel (dances), Mr Roy Spackman (violin.selection). Miss Dora Zaffer was, accompanist, and Mr Aligns MTvor was M.C. for the dance which followed the musical programme.
