PIPING AND DANCING COMPETITONS
OTAGO CENTRE'S FESTIVAL CONCLUDED The Otago Centre's annual piping and dancing competitions, under the auspices of the New Zealand Piping and Dancing Association, were brought to a finish in the Burns Hall last evening, when a large audience was present.
. The entries tor this year’s competitions were a distinct advance on those of previous years. There were only four events on the programme, and those present were treated to some exhibition dancing by way of a finale. At the conclusion of the programme the prizes and trophies won during the festival were presented by the president of the centre (Mr-A. Maekay). Following are the results of the competitions held last evening;— MARCHES (Open). First prize £3, second £2, third £l. J.
