(Received April 16, at 10 a.m.) The story of the exploit of the British gunboat Tern in the upper reaches* of the Yangtsc is told by a naval wireless message to-day. It appears that,owing to heavy fighting twelve miles above Lining, shipping in the upper*, reaches of the river was nimble io move,, Tho Tern proceeded up the river tm effect its release, running tho gauntlet of a heavy fire. Three ratings worn wounded. However, the object was, achieved, the Tern reluming safely, with the vessels. -
