A MAGISTRATE BAFFLED WOMAN IX A DILEMMA. At Marylebouc Police Court, a few, weeks ago a. woman stated that when, she rented rooms she purchased some linoleum from the landlord for ,£3. and was handed a receipt She had recently given up possession of ihe room.-,, hut when she went to remove the linoleum with her other goods she iouml that it was so strongly glued down, that she could not lift it without damaging the floor. The landlord threatened to sue her if she did any damage in removing t.lm linoleum, and. on the other hand, had told her that she was liable to pay, rcnl: while Iter property —the linoleum —was still on the premises. What was she to do?
