REBELS CLAIM FURTHER VICTORIES Pres* Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON. March 5. (Received March G, at 1.40 p.m.) The rebels report that they also captured a largo number of machine gnus, rifles, and ammunition at Monterey. They claim a further victory at Mazatlau, iu Sinaloa, inflicting considerable punishment upon the fleeing loyal troops. The Federalists still deny that Monterey has been captured. The Mexican Government will confiscate all property of the rebel leaders. To-day, in Nogales, Sonora, Bishop Navarette, who was driven from the State by General Calles’s restrictions, officiated at the first High Mass held there for eighteen months. - Australian Press Association.
