Professor Valdemaras, the Lithuanian Dictator, who is notorious in League of Nations circles for Jong, bellicose speeches and has a reputation of being able to speak sixteen languages, has discovered a plot to overthrow the Government. Eighteen of the highest officers of the Kovno garrison have been arrested, including the chief of the General Stall, General Bleehavitchius. ' According to despatches from Warsaw almost the whole of Lithuania is restive, and open mutiny is expected. —Australian Press Association.
