OTAGO HUNT CLUB
Under ideal weather conditions the Otago Hunt Club got olt tho remaining events on the programme of its sports meeting at Tahuna I’ark on Saturday afternoon, when an excellent display of riding and jumping was witnessed. Tho entries were large ior all events, and the competition was very keen. Results
Rescue Race (gentlemen riders). R. Grcmisladc, jum, .1, J. E. Brunton 3. This would have been a. grept finish, but Brunton unfortunately dropped his dummy.
Rescue Race (lady riders). —Miss E. Smytho 1, Miss Z. Ruthortord 2. An excellent finish, with -Miss Smytho winning on tho post. Bun .Race (gentlemen riders). —Mr N. Murdoch 1, -Mr J. E. iiruntou 2. Won easily. Bun Race (lady riders). —Miss N. Steclo 1. -Miss -M. Statham 2. Won with ease.
Polo Race (gentlemen riders). —J. Crawford I, Bert Ifastio 2. This was a splendid finish, Crawford winning on tho post. Polo Race (lady riders)—(Miss Z. Rutherford .1, Miss M. Statham 2. The winner proved too good on the turns and won easily. Tho prizes for tho various events were, presented to tho winners by .Mr A. D. Edgar.
