THE FIRST FLIGHTS MESSAGE FROM WILKINS Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Kovcmbbr 23. (Received November 24, at 11 a.m.) Sir Hubert Wilkins, in a wireless via Port Stanley, states that the first aeroplane flight in the Antarctic was made to-dayj Eielson and Sir Hubert flying the aeroplane that was used in the Arctic flight. It was renamed Los Angeles. It circled the island. Later they tested tho second machine, the San Francisco. Although the temperature was near the freezing point, tho engines worked splendidly.—Australian Press Association.
