Tho final rehearsal of ‘Carmen,’ by the Choral Society last evening, wont so well that those who attend the performance to-night are assured of a musical treat. Miss Mina Caldone’s voice was heard to advantage, and her •singing was a pleasant surprise to many who had not previously heard her. Miss Helen Gard’ncr, Messrs Harrison and Foster were also in good form. The orchestra and chorus, under Dr Galway’s able conductorship, combined well. This will bo the first occasion cm which ‘ Carmen ’ has been presented in chorus from in Dunedin.
