AT THE ALBERT HALL

LORD JELLIGOE'S APPEAL

Official Wireless.) frcss Association —By Telegraph—Copyright.

RUGBY, November 12. (Received November 13, at 10.30 a.m.) The King and Queen, accompanied by the Duko and Duchess of York, last night, attended a huge Armistice Day festival for cx-servicemen at the Albert Hall, and were enthusiastically greeted by an audience of 10,000. The great gathering sang old songs and hymns and listened to addresses, including one from Admiral of the Fleet Lord Jellicoe. Lord Jellicoe struck the predominant note of a remarkable gathering in the following passage:—“ Let us pledge ourselves tc keep alive the spirit of copiradeship and self-sacrifice in the years to come, all standing shoulder to shoulder working unceasingly for peace and for the common good of Britain and the Empire, and ever remember the needs of the survivors, the disabled, and the widows and orphans.”
