ACCIDENTS AND DEATHS
AFTERMATH OF WAR. A coronial inquiry was hold at 'Wanganui concerning the death of Dougins Kennedy, who was found wounded on Anzac parade on Tuesday last. A verdict was returned that the deceased committed suicide while in a state of temporary insanity. Tho coroner said that no doubt tho/primary cause of tho act was tho result of tho deceased's war experiences. CEREBRAL HEMORRHAGE. A verdict of death from natural causes was returned by the coroner, Mr E. C, Levvey, S.M., at the inquest at Gisborne on tho body cf James M‘Kinley, who was found lying in an unconscious condition at Makaraka road on July 11, and who died in hospital on July 17. 'The evidence showed that M’Kinley, when ho regained consciousness in hospital, stated that when riding home on his horse he felt giddy, and dismounted. He remembered nothing more. .The doctor said that deceased had a cerebral hemorrhage. FOUND DEAD. Mrs Jams Osborne, o# Petone, aged seventy-six, was found dead in a room which was full of gas.—Wellington message. KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTOR. A three-year-old boy, lan M'Call, was taken to the hospital yesterday afternoon with a fractured right leg, received through being knocked down by a motor car on the Macandrew road. The boy resides with bis parents at Helena street, Caversham. SUFFERING FROM SHOCK. Gordon , Williams, agad nine, was taken to the hospital at 3 o’clock yesterday afternoon suffering from shock, the result, of being knocked down by a horse in the Caversham Park. AN ARM INJURY. When a horge and dray hacked down on him yesterdav afternoon Aaron Wills, married, and residing at 14 Felix street, North-east Valiev, received injuries to his left ann, necssitating his removal to the hospital at 3.45.
