NEW NAVAL SCHOOL
A MUNIFICENT GIFT DONOR LIVING IN NEW ZEALAND APPRECIATION OE NAVY’S GALLANTRY. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, July 15. (Received July 1(1, at 5.50 a.m.) Tho munificent gift by Mr G. S. Reade, who is at present residing in New Zealand, will enable tbo building of a new naval school at Holbrook, Suffolk, where 1,000 boys are at present being educated. The Royal Hospital at Greenwich will bo removed when the new building is completed. Tho buildings and equipment will cost nearly £1,000,000. Mr Reado is defraying the cost of tho buildings, besides presenting a property of 850 acres, on which he formerly lived, and which belonged to his ancestors for generations. It is given in appreciation of the Navy’s gallantry in war time. The Admiralty has now contracted for tho buildings, which will take four years to complete. This will enable the Macpherson collection to bo eventually installed at Queen’s House, Greenwich, where the main school is at present established.—United Service.
