THE SALT ADMINISTRATION STOPPAGE OF PAYMENTS. (British Official Wireless.) Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. RUGBY, Juno-15. (Received June 10, at noon.) It is reported that the Nanking authorities have issued instructions to the Salt Administration in Tientsin temporarily stopping all payments and ordering the funds to be temporarily deposited with the Chinese banks for collection on their behalf. The Salt Administration was created under an international agreement as security for foreign obligations. Tho loans secured on it are the AngloFrench loan for £5,000,000 of 1908, tho Hukwang Railway loan for £6,000,000 of 1911. the Crisp loan for £5,000,000 of 1912 (secured on the surplus revenues of the Administration), and tho reorganisation loan of 1930.
