SCOTTISH CONCERT
Part of the function of the Council of Scottish societies of Dunedin is to introduce to the public notable singers of Scottish song. The council is particularly fortunate in being able to introduce to the Scottish community of Dunedin Miss Margaret M'Kenzie Aitken, the well-known Scottish, contralto, Hebridean songs will be specially featured in the programme for Thursday evening’s concert. Miss Aitken leaves Dunedin on tho morning following the concert to iulfii engagements in Wellington and Auckland prior to returning lo Scotland. There can, therefore, Iw only one concert, and lovers of Scottish song and music should not fail to take advantage of the opportunity to hear this gifted and charming singer. Mr Wallace, at the violin, will render Scottish ■ selections. And Mr Les Dailey will sing the old favourites in the auld Scots songs. Piping and Dancing wall complete the evening.
