OSCAR SLATER’S APPEAL
DECISION TO WITHDRAW Press Association—-By Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, Juno Li. Oscar Slater states that, as he would not ho allowed in the witness box, he has resolved to withdraw his appeal. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle says: “Slater is terribly disappointed, and I think his brain is about turned by all lie has gone through. He imagines there is a conspiracy. I told him it was a foolish action.” The solicitors say that they have no knowledge of whether or not t he appeal is to proceed.--Australian Press Asso-ciation-United Service.
