THEFT CHARGES.
Jack M'Dongall was charged with stealing a suit of clothes valued at £7, tho property of Wilfred Gcoige MMvcnzic. Tho Chief Detective (Mr Cameron), in asking lor a remand till June 20, said tho accused, a youth of eighteen, cajuo Iron) Invercargill, and ■had admitted this and a number of other thefts, and the police.had written to Invercargill to obtain further information about remand was granted. On a charge ol stealing an overcoat valued at £4, the property of John Milne, James Ross Fraser pleaded guilty, iMid was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment. Senior-sergeant Qnarterinnin said that drink was accused's trouble, Ho had gone to Wood’s dining room, and on leaving took the coat from the hall.
