Sir, —It is seldom a man has tunc to read a particular letter in your correspondence columns more than once, but I will admit that ‘‘Scrum ".has got the “ neck screw ” on mo this time. ‘‘Scrum” will argue that the 2-3-3 is outed and inferior to the other formations.- I/ot mo tell him that if the 2-3-2 is played right by the right men —-wo have them over there—it can’t bo beaten. Take a pair of classic hookers, a good lock, ana the stuff to support those. We havo tho lot against Orange Free State. Then we have the men m tho hacks, and a sweet lob they are; good luck to them all! “Scrum” submits his reasons for .inferiority (so far) —first, the wrong forwards have been chosen for the tour; my answer is—rot. Second, the All Blacks have not the stomach for the job; my answer—absolute weakness in iiis speech. Third, onr New Zealand system lias bred a type of forward who finds himself all at sea when up against the solid, massed attacks of the Afrikanders; my answerlive and learn.

1 am voting the opinion of the best of sports that “Scrum” is not giving the..l92s boys a fair.go when he publishes his reasons. Up to the present they have 33 points for and 26 against, some of them playing .well below their lit weight, and yet it. is said they have not the stomach.
