Although Schubert died at (lie eaily ago of thirty-one, he left behind him .Wealth of superlative music which lor quality or quantity has not been approached by any other composer. It is well that wo do not forget such men, lor what they moan to tho world cannot ho estimated. and wo know t rum his li!c that were ho hero to see tho honour in which ho is now held ho would .still ho utterly unspoiled, lor he was modesty personified. Muny oi Ins woiulciln! creations will bo presented at the centenary concert, to lie held in Burns Hall on Tuesday, 19th. It is a selection ol glorious music, consisting ul string quartets, songs, piano solos, and violin solos. The plan opens at Ihe Bnstol on Friday, the loth.
