LONDON, May 21. (Received May 22, at 1.5 P-m.) The ‘ Dailv Mail,’ in a leader, states that the result of the German elections distinctly favours peace, and the advocates of a war of revenge have been heavily defeated. The strongest party will bo the Socialists, the German variety of which is less extreme than the British. The most important feature is the fading of the Hohenzollerns. Germany is definitely turning irom Monarchism to Republicanism.—Australian Press Association.
