M'Culloch was ordered to pay Ogilvie and Co. £3 8s 6d, with costs Bs, for goods supplied, in default four days’ imprisonment. CARGO PILLAGING CASE. The magistrate gayo his reserved decison in the case in which Macky, Logan, Caldwell, Ltd., proceeded against the New Zealand Shipping Company in a claim for £99 18s 4d, in respect of goods missing from a case shipped under a bill of lading by the Rirautaka from London. Mr Bartholomew reviewed the evidence in detail, and stated that his conclusion was that it had not been shown that the case was landed in other than apparent good order and condition. Judgment would therefore be entered for the defendants, with witnesses expenses £3 and solicitor’s fee £4 19s 6d. Security for appeal was fixed at £2O.
