(Received February 1, at noon.) At the wool sales 8,842 bales were sold, 5,344 being Australian, and 3,250 New Zealand. There was a miscellaneous offering of merinos, principally topmaking sorts, there being a good .selection and good style. Greasy cross-breds were in poor supply. Slipes and other sorts showed a good tone and keen competition at late rates.
