AMATEUR ATHLETICS
CIVIL SERVICE MEET. The Civil Service H. and A.A.C. will stage an evening meet at the Caledonian Ground on Saturday next, at 7.80, when the following events will be decided: —120yds handicap, one-mile handicap, 100yds ladies’ handicap, one and three-mile cycle handicap, onemile novice cycle handicap (for riders who have never won a first or second prize), and 880yds relay handicap (four distances of_ 220yds). Entries for the meeting will close to-morrow. The following Saturday a number ol amateur events are to be included on the programme of a gathering lo be held at Carisbrook in the evening.
