STANDEN AND GRAY ARRIVE. [Peb United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, January 30. Among the arrivals at AVcllingtonyesterday by the Makura from Sydney were the two Australian amateur track champion cyclists, J. Standen and D. Gray, and their trainer and manager, F. W. Kaltonbach. Standen and Gray have been brought to Now Zealand by the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, and are to compete at the various centres, making their first appearance at Wanganui to-morrow, Standen is a youthful champion, being only eighteen years of age; fiddle Gray is a more experienced rider. Both have been chosen to represent Australia at the Olympic Games. A civic welcome was accorded (ho visitors bv the mavor.
