PACIFIC CABLE BOARD
HO MORE EXTENSIONS CONTEMPLATED [Pee United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, January 30. Mr R. S. Bain, superintendent for the Pacific Cable Board, arrived from Vancouver last evening after a tour of the various stations. Mr Bain stated that the board was still operating on a profitable basis, although the introduction of beam wireless had taken away a certain degree of business. No more extensions to the Pacific cable services were contemplated at present, nor could the rates he further reduced. Mr Bain goes on to Wellington for embarkation by the Maiiiiganni for Sydney, the headquarters.
