BISHOP SENT TO GAOL
A MOSCOW TRIAL Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright, LONDON, January 23. ■ A Moscow message states that a Roman Catholic bishop, Monsignor Skalsky, a Polish Nationalist, was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment on charges of counter-revolutionary activities, agitating against the Soviet clubs and on behalf of the Roman Catholic clergy in the Ukraine, and sheltering Polish priests illegally crossing the frontier. A further charge of espionage was dismissed.
