MM FINANCIAL RETURNS imports and exports The annual report of the Harbor Board shows that the cash receipts from dues, pilotage, towage, receiving and delivery, and other sources for the year ended September 30, 1927, amounted to £168,187 3s lid, as compared with £IBI,OBO 13s i d for the previous year. During last year a transfer of £2,515 13s lid from tho Rattray street widening reserve fund •brought the total up to £170,702 3s lid. thus reducing the difference to some extent. Cash expenditure tor the past year amounted to £154,893 6s 7d, transtei to fire insurance fund and No. 1 loan account bringing this up to ick 2d The cash expenditure tor the previous year was £150,621 0s Bd. The imports for the last year were of 291,310 tons, as compared with 316,815 .tons for the preceding year, anc the exports were of 131,891 tons, as compared with 132,193 tons. The value of tho imports tor 1920-27' 27' was £4,676,744, as compared with £.5.452,150 for 1925-26. Exports in 1926-27 wore valued at £3,144,663, as compared with £3,125, 784 for tho preceding vofli** Shipping arrivals in 1926-27 totalled 563 (1,001,355 tons), compared with 547 (967,704 tons) in 1925-26._ Attention is drawn to the fact that in 1926-27 a total of £5,534 was lost on Government cargo, in respect of which no dues are paid.
