NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. The North Island croquet championships were continued at Wanganui yesterday, when the visiting English players joined in the matches. A notable win was that of Mrs E. A. Smith (Christchurch), who defeated Miss R. Sheet, present holder of the North Island championship. Colonel Du Pre (England) gave a brilliant exhibition of croquet, defeating Mrs W.
