Commenting on the game in England, Lieutenant-colonel Du Pro said that many men played there. Lawn billiards required a groat deal of skill and tactics. They noticed that the number of men who played the game in Australia was very small, and they had endeavored to encourage the sport among men. They would do the same in New Zealand.
