LONDON, January 22. •' The Moscow correspondent of the ‘Daily News’ states that immense crowds commemorating the fourth anniversary of Lenin’s death waited in hitter frost in Bed square outside Lenin’s wooden mausoleum. They were Shepherded by sentries through underground passages into the red-walled death chamber, which was crudely lighted by torches, the bizarre illumination revealing the ashen features of the corpse lying on a red couch and encased in glass. M Kalinin and other prominent people entered silently. M Kalinin said: “This moment four years ago our beloved leader left us. Stand in honor of his undying memory.” The vast audience rose up, while the orchestra played a dirge. Pictures on the stage illustrated the triumph of the revolution, and there was a huge bust of Lenin, guarded by Red officers with drawn swords and under tattered Red banners.—Sydney ‘Sun’- Cable.
