BOYS' MATCHES The two teams of boys selected by the Canterbury Boys’ Cricket Association to retrieve the laurels wrested from them last year by the senior and junior teams of the Otago Boys’ Association arrived in Dunedin by the first express to-day. The matches will bo played on the Caledonian Ground on Thursday and Friday. In the match at Wellington for the New Zealand Boys’ (under sixteen) Challenge Shield between Wellington and Canterbury (the present holders), the latter, on Saturday, made 285 (MTCernan 46, Cobden 38, M'Nish 37, French 36, M'Namin 33, Grimmer 32, Wise 25, M‘Ra© 26). Wellington were all out for 114 (Cook 38, Griffiths 21, Liddicoat 18, Leggatt 10), and following on they were dismissed yesterday for 133 (Wrigley 62, Griffiths 23, Cook 14). Griffiths and Brooks, for Wellington, and Cobden, M‘Rao, and Blackaby, for Canterbury, were the most successful bowlers. Canterbury won by an innings and 38 runs.
