CAPSIZE OF CAR
FIVE ADULTS UNINJURED BABY SUSTAINS BROKEN LEG When a- Eord car capsized on the Main road near Allanton yesterday afternoon tho six or seven passengers were' thrown out, but the only serious injury sustained was a broken leg by a five-months-old baby, the son of Mr and Mrs D. Wheeler, of Momona. The party were travelling to Port Chalmers in the car, which was owned and driven by Mr Wheeler’s brother-in-law. The car failed to negotiate a bend near Allanton, the steering gear failed completely, and the car left the road to come to rest after capsizing. The baby’s right leg was fractured, and lie was brought ; nto the Dunedin Hospital. The only damages sustained by the other members were minor cuts, bruises, and a shaking. _ They did not require medical attention. The hospital reports that the baby is progressing satisfactorily.
