MINISTER OF DEFENCE RESIGNS MUCH SPECULATION. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, January 13. (Received January 14, at 11.40 a.m.) 111-health is given as the primary reason for Dr Dossier’s resignation of the portfolio of defence, but there are persistent stories that it is due to Dr Gessler’s resentment at tho cutting down of the estimates, also as the result of the hostile campaign on the grounds of his tolerance of the monarchical elements within the army. It is reported that President Hindenburg is bringing pressure on Dr Gessler to remain till the budget is through.
