The Board of Trade returns show that the imports decreased by £7,876,000 the exports increased by £9,126,000, and the re-exports decreased by £1,191,000. Principal decreases;—lmports: Coal, £5,829,000; raw cotton, £3,238,000; iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £1,664,000; oils and fats, £1,257,000. Increases.—lmports; Dutiable food and drink, £1,559,000. Exports: Coal, £1,239,000; iron and steel and manufactures thereof, £1,832,000; cotton varns and manufactures thereof, £1,604,000;
