MR BIRTLES’S MOTOR TOUR EXCITING EXPERIENCES IN ASIA. Press Asaocintion—Bj' Telegraph—Copyright, CALCUTTA, January 9. (Received January 10, at 12.55 a.m.) Mr Francis Birtles, t!ie Australian motorist, arrived here after an exciting Transasian tour. Among other experiences, while sheltering from a blinding snowstorm brigands robbed him of his blankets. After leaving Teheran he found a marooned car, in which were seven Persians J'rozon to death. As the result of the hardships he spent Christmas Day in hospital at Quetta. He reached Delhi on the same sot of tyres as he started.
