The Rev. R. A. Foodc, 8.D., of the diocese of Maine (U.S.A.), has been appointed to the charge of the parochial district of Balc’lutna.

Superintendent Willis, who has been appointed to take charge of the Otago police district, arrived by the second exoress last night. Campbell (Invercargill). Among the new visitors to the Excelsior Hotel are Mr O. V. Lunn (Sydney), Sir J. A. Slilne (Auckland). Sirs SI. SI. Thompson, Sliss Slartin, Sir J. B.
