"' > FARCE COMEDY COMPANY A form of entertainment for which there is always a demand is well-acted farce-comedy. A farce with the laughs coming so quickly that they appear to ho just one long laugh opens at His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday next. It is ‘ Up in Mabel’s Room,’ and will be presented by W. J. G. Barr’s comedians, who are visiting New Zealand for the first time. The company includes many well-known actors and actresses, Miss Zara Clinton being the leading comedienne. She is a wellknown London actress, who lias been playing leading roles in musical and farcical comedy for some years in Canada and the United States. She plays the name part in ‘Up in Mabel’s Room,’ Mr Billy O’Hanlon is the unfortunate “ hero,” who gets into all kinds of ridiculous entanglements ard creates an endless amount of amusement by his frantic endeavors to get out of them. Other members of he company who assist in the tun making are Messrs Eric Harrison, Jack Beattie, Brandon Cremer, Thomas M'Dermott, and Misses Shirley Cooke, Barbara Birch, and Sybil Atbolwood. During this company’s comedy season another tarce equally as funny as ‘Up in Mabel’s Room’ will be presented. It is entitled ‘Oh, Richard! How Could You?’
