Corinna, s.s. (8 p.m.), 1,319 ions, Lowe, for New Plymouth via ports. November 26. Canadian Pioneer, s.s. (8.30 a.m.), 5,758 tons, C. S. A. Robertson, for Wellington. The Canadian Pioneer sailed this morning for "Wellington, Napier, and Auckland to complete loading for New York, Boston ; and Halifax. The Kamo is to come up to Dunedin from Port Chalmers on Monday to load for Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. The Kahika was to leave Gisborne to-day for Dunedin. She will load hero on Tuesday for Napier and Gisborne via ports. The Waipiata. is to leave Auckland on Wednesday for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru, and Timaru. '■ The Corinna sailed last night for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth via ports. The Holmdalo is to sail to-night for Wanganui via ports. The Katoa was to sail to-day for Bluff and Port Craig. RUAHINE LEFT SOUTHAMPTON. The New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the llnahlue left Southampton yesterday afternoon for "Wellington and Auckland. The vessel 'is duo at Wellington on December 31. MOTOR TUG SOUTHLAND. The now motor tug Southland came up to Dunedin this morning in order that citizens may see the improved ferry for the Stewart Island season this year. WAIKAWA IN PORT. The Union Company’s cargo steamer Waikawa arrived this morning Jrom Pacific Coast ports via Papeete and Wellington. On her way up to the Pacific Coast the Waikawa loaded sugar at Fiji for Vancouver. After discharging and loading at Vancouver, the vessel went to New "Westminster lor further loading, and afterwards bunkered at Union Bay. She then proceeded to Powell River, .where newsprint paper was shipped, and next called at San Francisco ami Los Angeles to fill up. The "Waikawa left Lbs Angeles at 7 p.m. on October 26, and had a fine weather run to Papeete, where sho arrived on November 9. Cased motor spirits were discharged, and the ship sailed again at 7 p.m. on that date. Fine weather continued until arrival at Wellington. Captain E. Harris is master of the Waikawa, and his officers are:—Chief officer, Mr E. H. Willson; second, Mr H. W. Jones; third, Mr L. R. Lender; chief engineer, Mr W. I). Taylor; second, Mr W. Cameron; third, Mr J. Cockburn; fourth, Mr J. Hunter; chief steward, Mr W. Ruttlidge; wireless operator, Mr; A. Miller. The Waikawa is to sail earlv nest week for Lyttelton, "Wellington, Napier, Nelson, and New Plymouth. AUSTRALIND FROM NEW YORK. From New York via Panama and northern ports, the Australind arrived this morning. The vessel left Now York on October 8, and passed through Panama ten days later. She experienced very fair weather all the way with variable winds, blowing raostly from the south to south-west prevailing. About a fortnight before she arrived in New Zealand she encountered a heavy swell ami fresh, winds, but nothing to delay the vessel appreciably. The speed coming across was 11.2 knots. The Australind was formerly owned by the "West Australian Steam Navigation Company, and transported English immigrants to Australia. Sho was taken over by her present owners before the war and converted into a cargo -vessel. Captain W. Stevens, formerly of the Atholl, is in command, and the following arc his officers: —Chief, Mr P. F. Ciicfcmcr; second, Mr C. R. Cox; third, Mr R. W. Jones; chief engineer, Mr N. Mackio; second, Mr R, G. Macfarlanc; third, Mr J. Cunningham; fouith, Mr W. Davis; wireless operator, Mr W. Turner. The remainder of the crew are Chinese.
